Terms of Service & Policies

Agreement

By booking a session at The Ritual Room, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all of the policies contained in this agreement. These guidelines exist to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing space where true healing can happen.

Welcome

At The Ritual Room, I believe that part of living a holistic life is honoring clear boundaries—with ourselves, our time, and our energy. These policies are here not as rules to restrict you, but as gentle structures that support both client and therapist. They help ensure that every session feels grounded, respectful, and restorative for all.

Our Services

Massage and bodywork at The Ritual Room are intended to support relaxation, stress relief, and holistic wellness.

  • Services are not medical treatment, nor do they replace the care of a licensed health care provider.

  • We do not diagnose or prescribe, but we are happy to work alongside your healthcare providers as part of your overall wellness plan.

  • If you have any conditions that might put you at risk of being adversely affected by the services provided at the Ritual Room, please consult your medical care provider and obtain their approval prior to your visit.

  • The Ritual Room and its employees or providers will not be responsible for any injuries derived from pre-existing conditions during your session.

Health & Safety

Your health and the safety of others are always our priority.

  • Please share any relevant health conditions (injuries, surgeries, medications, allergies, or sensitivities) before your session.

  • If you have or suspect you may have a contagious condition (including cold/flu, fever, herpes outbreak, poison ivy, rash, or infection), please reschedule your session.

  • This helps protect your practitioner and other clients who come here for healing.

Booking & Payments

  • Sessions may be booked online, by phone, or in person.

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless prepaid.

  • We accept cash, credit/debit cards, Zelle, and Apple Pay.

  • Gift certificates and memberships are non-refundable, but they may be transferred to another person if you are unable to use them. (Simply provide us with the recipient’s name at the time of transfer.)

Cancellations & No-Shows

Life can be unpredictable, and I do my best to be flexible while also respecting everyone’s time.

  • Please give 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged 50% of the session fee.

  • No-shows will be charged the full session fee.

  • Illness and emergencies will always be met with understanding and compassion.

  • Any appointment requested after one missed appointment without proper cancellation will require full payment at the time it is booked.

Professional Boundaries

The Ritual Room is a space of trust, safety, and professionalism.

  • Kindness and respect for boundaries flow both ways between client and therapist.

  • Clients will remain properly draped throughout the massage.

  • Inappropriate behavior (verbal, physical, or sexual) will end the session immediately, with payment due in full and a permanent ban from entering our premises and from making any contact with employees or contractors of the Ritual Room.

  • Soliciting or attempting to solicit prohibited or inappropriate contact from a practitioner licensed by the Florida Department of Health is a crime and will be reported.

Late Arrivals

Your time is reserved for you. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened out of respect for the next client, and full payment for your scheduled service will still be required.

Confidentiality

All client information, health history, and session notes are kept private and confidential. Your trust is deeply valued.

Liability & Care

  • Massage therapy is generally safe, though you may experience mild, temporary soreness or fatigue.

  • Cupping therapy may cause temporary circular marks or discoloration on the skin. These are not bruises, but normal effects of cupping, and they typically fade within a few days.

  • By receiving services, you accept responsibility for communicating your needs and understand that The Ritual Room is not liable for adverse reactions or injuries unless due to proven negligence.

Minors

  • Clients under 18 require written parent/guardian consent.

  • For the safety and comfort of all, a parent or guardian MUST remain in the room during the entire session for clients under 17 years old.

Right to Refuse Service

The Ritual Room reserves the right to reschedule, refuse, or end a session if:

  • You arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • You engage in inappropriate behavior

  • Continuing the session would be unsafe or unprofessional
